Our Mission
The mission of the United States District Court for the District of Montana is to support, defend and preserve the Constitution of the United States by providing an impartial forum for the just resolution of disputes. We act so as to protect individual rights and freedoms, preserve judicial independence and promote public trust in the Judiciary of the United States of America.
- Electronic devices, such as cameras, cellular phones, wireless devices, laptops, etc., are not permitted in any Montana federal courthouse. For more information, see Local Rule 1.3(d).
- Government issued photo identification (drivers license, military id, etc.) is required upon entering any of the Montana federal courthouses.
- Please do not bring/wear excessive metal objects such as pocket knives, key chains, belts, jewelry, etc., as you will be passing through metal detectors at the security check-in.
