Pursuant to Standing Order BMM-35, attorneys admitted to the Bar of the District of Montana must renew their membership every two years by paying a $50.00 re-registration fee.
The 2026 biennial re-registration begins October 1, 2026. Beginning on that date, attorneys admitted prior to October 1, 2024 will be required to re-register biennially to continue as active members of the District of Montana bar. Instructions outlining the re-registration process can be found on the court’s website at Re-registration 2026.
The deadline for re-registration is October 31, 2026. Failure to register by this deadline will result in restricted use of your CM/ECF e-filing account, and your bar membership will be changed to inactive. The next time you log into CM/ECF you will have limited e-filing options and will be required to re-register and pay the $50.00 fee before your full e-filing rights will be restored.
