The current term of the office of United States Magistrate Judge John T. Johnston, sitting at Great Falls, Montana, is due to expire on January 5, 2023. As required by law, the United States District Court has established a panel of citizens to consider the reappointment of Judge Johnston to a new eight-year term.  Public comment on whether Magistrate Judge Johnston should be recommended by this panel for reappointment by the court will be accepted until May 31, 2022.  Please see Public Notice for Reappointment of Incumbent United States Magistrate Judge and Administrative Order 22-8.
